RIPON

Trainer Archie Watson is having plenty of success with juvenile newcomers and can land another win with ABADIE. He comes from a family that has produced several winning sprinters and is sure to know his job.

Don’t Joke has done well enough in finishing third on his two runs so far and has more to offer for Mark Johnston.

He also runs Misty Grey who looked extremely green when third on debut at Lingfield latest and should progress from that.

2.35

EY UP ITS MICK ran his best race for a long time when second at Thirsk last time out when ridden closer to the pace than usual. He likes this trip and should be right there again.

Ascot Dreamer has been in good form and won with something in hand at Redcar two runs ago. She then put in a decent effort in better company than this at Pontefract latest and can go close.

Tizwotitiz got on well with today’s 7lb claimer when a tight second at Chepstow latest and can trouble the judge again.

3.10

SEANJOHNSILVER showed his best form when stepped up to this distance to finish a good third at Thirsk last time out. He likes decent ground and should be competitive again from what looks a fair mark.

Fairy Fast showed some promise on her handicap debut at Musselburgh last time, finishing just over two lengths off the pace. She looks the type to improve for this longer distance.

Perfect Swiss wasn’t asked too many questions at maiden level so could be ahead of the assessor on this handicap debut.

3.45

TAKUMI looks the one to beat after an impressive win at Goodwood on his seasonal comeback earlier this month. He didn’t get the run of the race there so it was an excellent effort to come out on top.

He sees out this trip well and has a lot more to offer from 6lb higher in the weights. Global Heat is nicely bred and handled stepping up to this trip well enough when second at Windsor last time out.

The form of that race looks solid and he is on the upgrade. Sameem was last in a Listed race at Epsom last when making the running and should find this a lot easier after winning a Redcar handicap on comeback.

4.20

KNIGHTED has looked a little rusty on both starts this season but showed good signs each time, including when a solid fourth at Haydock last time.

That was in a slightly better race than this and he should be spot on for fitness now. Kripke battled well to win at Pontefract latest, making up plenty of ground in the closing stages.

He should appreciate this longer distance and deserves to step up in class. Just Hiss was just ahead of Knighed last time and was coming back from a break so could improve for the experience.

ISAAN QUEEN did well to win a Listed contest at Chelmsford last time on the nod, getting up right on the line. This is clearly a drop in class from that and even from this higher mark, she should go well over an ideal trip.

Kareena Kapoor showed promise on turf last summer before winning at Newcastle in January. He’s been off since then but looks the type to improve a bundle this season.

Gold Filigree was staying on over 5f at Bath last time so should appreciate this longer distance.

5.30

AUSTRALIS took a big step forward from his debut form when finishing a good second at Wetherby last time. He sees out this distance well and wouldn’t need a lot more to get off the mark.

Great Example has a similar profile and stepped forward when third on the AW at Chelmsford latest. He still looked green and can improve on that.

Millions Memories has a win under his belt from Yarmouth last season and should find more for this step up in trip.

6.00

QAARAAT battled on well to be beaten a neck at Beverley last time over this distance and has been dropped 2lb by the handicapper. He has a 5lb claimer on board today which could help get him over the line.

Pavers Pride is consistent and finished last season with a close third at Nottingham over this trip. He starts this campaign off the same mark and should be competitive.

Astrophysics shaped well at Newcastle last time out in January and looks on a fair mark.
